Pin Up Makeup

I absolutely adore pin up makeup!!  Its very classic and clean but yet sexy!

Lips:
I know there are a lot of you out there that are terrified of doing a red lip.  I was too. My best advice is to play around with different shades and find the one that is to your liking. Also, another thing that you may want to look out for is wearability. You may want to read reviews on certain items to see if they have great staying power, if they are moisturizing, etc.  I recommend the website Temptalia to read up on products and get very thorough reviews.  Last but definitely not least is that YOU DO  NOT HAVE TO WEAR RED ON YOUR LIPS!! You can easily do a pin up look with pink, plum, or burgundy.  It's all about how you pull the look together.

Cheeks:
For the cheeks you are going to want to keep it super modest.  Do not go over board with blush with this look or you may look more like a clown than a pin up!!!  I recommend very light pinks or a dash of bronzer.  I also must emphasize that the blush should be matte.

Eyes:
I definitely recommend a neutral eye. You can keep it as simple as doing a wash of color (Naked Lunch by MAC or Sin by Urban Decay) or doing neutral browns/grays in the crease topped off with winged liner. Just please don't go over board on your eyes. Trust me...you don't super intense eyes whilst sporting a bright lip.  For the eye liner, I find that the best application and staying power goes to gel liner! A very popular choice is liquid liner but  for me the application always comes out messy.  Again, play around with products and see what suits you best!
